My prescription is similar to that but without astigmatism (i.e., I'm merely nearsighted, in the -2.5 to -3.25 range) and I still need my glasses to read -- the 'nearsighed' starts about a foot from my nose, and I like to hold my books further away than that. A book on my knees without glasses is unreadable. Also, the OP is astigmatic -- looks like just enough to make reading less fun. Don't judge! :) --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Check us out at the oft-updated http://www.glassyeyes.com!
