I was at drugstore.com looking for a razor, when I clicked on an ad for a health plan. Their least expensive plan ($10/month) includes, among all sorts of other discounts in other medical/dental areas, a 63% discount in "Designer Eyeglasses," replacing a cost of $210 with $77. Single vision lenses are knocked down from $49 to just over $17, for a 65% discount.
The original prices seem kind of low relative to what people have been reporting here, but it doesn give you a ballpark figure for what reasonable charges might look like.
