You *have* done your homework. Let me be the first to applaud you on your
thoroughness. BRAVO! Far too few people read the archives.

If I remember correctly, the comment you refer to had to do with a
theoretical discussion about quality control...and it is correct. China's
requirements for Q/C are different than those in the US. But, let me offer
a contrarian data point...recognize that most of the complaints against
Zenni have nothing to do with the quality of their merchandise. With
astonishingly few exceptions, every one of their customers is delighted with
the results.

Instead, it must be acknowledged that their primary problem (since November)
has involved shipping...into the USA. US Customs is the problem...not their
merchandise.

I have had 5 pairs from Zenni, and every pair was dead smack on...exceeding
even the optical tolerances of local opticians. My own ophthalmologists
(yes, that's supposed to be plural) were startled. The company is known, in
fact, for the accuracy and quality of their lenses.

The other sites have their own strengths, too, which you've undoubtedly
researched just as thoroughly. Can the same claim of accuracy be said for
all of them?

I like an informed consumer...I think that you have made an *excellent*
addition to this group, and I look forward to your future posts.
