Goggles4U.com (http://www.goggles4u.com) offers glass lenses, there don't seem to be too many complaints on this board about them. Maybe someone else here knows about other e-tailers?
It is true that glass is much more scratch resistant than plastic lenses and the optical quality higher, sometimes much higher. Glass lenses take a tint much more accurately than high index and polycarbonate - in short, glass lenses for those with simple and small corrections can make a lot of sense. Unfortunately, authorities in the US, aided by misinformation and fear tactics of 'flying shards of glass into your eye' by opticians and others, make finding glass lenses nearly impossible in the US - despite the vast majority of the rest of the world using them safely. That's another great benefit of having online discount glasses retailers that operate outside the US sphere of controls. J.
