I'm looking to get some sunglasses for the first time ever, because of
the lower cost online I'll consider them. Never before would I do
so. I grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and never wore sunglasses because I
wouldn't even think of spending that kind of money on glasses.

So I'm thinking of getting the Sorento frame at 39dollarglasses, and
with a "weak" prescription of -1.5 in my left, and -1.25 in my right,
do I need to spring for the higher index lenses or with a low number
like that, are the lenses not really going to be thinner?

I don't quite understand the index sizes in relation to prescription.
If my prescription is that low, is there a benefit? Should I always
go for the 1.67 in metal frames and sunglass tint or will the other
lenses look just as good?

I really appreciate any and all feedback.

Thanks.
