After going through much of the information here and in the blog along with numerous bad experiences at retail shops, I decided to order glasses online at coastal contacts. The buying experience was fine and they have a nice set of video tutorials to assist in the ordering process.
I do wish they had a better way of navigating styles by maker and saving glasses as favorites. I also wish they had a better description of the differences in lens types. But beyond that, everything was great. Of course, I have yet to receive the glasses and will try to rememebr to report back on that after they arrive. I purchased a pair of Gucci 1721 3U1 eyeglasses and Kam Dhillon 3014 glasses tinted to be used as prescription sunglasses. I'm especially curious to see how the sunglasses tinting works out. They had very few options and no visual aids to illustrate how the tinted lenses will actually look so that's the only thing I'm skeptical about.
