I'm a guy and normally wouldn't even think about black frames because they look strange with my light brown hair. However, I'm in a wedding next month and decided that a pair of black plastic glasses would suit a tuxedo much better than tortoise shell. So, on certain occasions in this new world of affordable glasses, there's no reason not to match it up for those special occasions.
In fact, I have 3 suits and thought I might go with 3 pairs of corresponding glasses. Tortoise for the blue suit, black for the black suit and rimless for the grey suit.
