Yes, thank you Ira! It would have been a much more difficult
experience ordering glasses online without all the helpful info
here.
I am actually doing the opposite as the poster above...I also need
prescription sunglasses desperately, but ordered a pair of regular
glasses first because my expensive, almost new pair of rimless glasses
purchased from the optician broke where the lens attaches to the
'frame' (temple arm). I have been wearing an OLD, TIRED pair of
glasses until TODAY when my new semi-rimless glasses arrived from
Zenni! They seem fine - the lenses are clean, crisp, clear and the
frame seems very sturdy. (The clip-on shades I ordered are quite
flimsy and not worth more than the $4 extra I paid for them so I will
be looking for those prescription sunglasses immediately.) I felt a
little dizzy, distorted upon first putting these new glasses on altho
I think that is due to my new, stronger Rx as I had a bit of trouble
adjusting to the pair from the optician as well.
The only downside of the online eyeglasses thing for me is the
inability to try the glasses on to see how they will look on you.
That part of it - trying to envision a particular frame on your face -
is not an exact science. As much as the quality of my online glasses
is quite acceptable, I'm still not sure I'm pleased with the way this
frame looks on me - a bit wide for my taste. But I did go a bit crazy
and ordered a frame on the 'trendy' side - an affordable luxury due to
the low cost options via online glasses.
Now, my only problem: I'm embarassed to admit that I don't have a clue
how to adjust eyeglasses (correctly anyway). These seem to fit fairly
well right out of the pkg, but they do not sit level which is actually
a common issue for me - one of my ears must be higher than the other
(?). Any tips/suggestions would be most appreciated.
