thank you all for your opinions! i found them very helpful. i'm still a bit leery about this hingless feature especally upon hearing they tend to be wider, and I am having a difficult enough time finding frames narrow enough to suit me. i absolutely hate frames that 'stick out' or protrude beyond the outside of my face and today's trends make my choices limited it seems. perhaps i will try to find a pair in a brick and mortar that i can feel for myself before i take the plunge. in any case, thanks again for the insight!
