I'd been thinking about new glasses for a while and started considering ordering online after I stumbled across GlassyEyes. After getting my PD from my old opthamologist, I decided to take the plunge.
I had tried on a pair of designer frames in a local store that I really liked, so my goal was to find something similar without the hefty price tag. Checking out different styles on all the major seller sites was definitely time-consuming, but I finally settled on a pair from Firmoo. Firmoo's try-on option was particularly helpful. They didn't have the same review history as say Zenni or 39dollars but they were cheap enough that I was willing to risk it. Ended up ordering the first pair for everyday and a pair of sunglasses as well. http://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-1023.html with 1.6 index and AR http://www.firmoo.com/eyeglasses-p-1212.html with 1.57 index and UV/ Grey 80% Total: 67.23 after first time buyer coupon of "firstorder" knocked off 10% The order was placed January 21 and arrived by USPS from China on January 30. Firmoo emailed when the order shipped with a tracking number. Each pair of glasses came inside a drawstring bag in a plastic case with cleaning cloth (cheap looking but served their purpose) wrapped with bubble wrap inside the box. As far as I can tell, the prescription and lens tints look great. The frames aren't the highest quality, and the paint job is on the uneven side, but the minor deficiencies are only noticeable up close. Overall they seem sturdy and are certainly decent in light of the price. Definitely happy with my choice to go online and pleased with my new glasses from Firmoo. -- Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
