the biggest part of my eyeglasses pricing is always the lens. My current presciption is high (-11.75/-12.00, -1.0, 47/156), but it's been worse. Unless i go with children's frames, even a 49-18-135 makes my lens near 1/8 of an inch (.125") in some places. Last time I used 1.57/1.59 lens, it was even worse (the distorstion was so great they couldn't get it right enough for me to see right), i've been using 1.67 for years (I would love to go w/ the 1.7+ but that's WAY out of my range right now).
Make matters worse... they finally broke in half today.
