They may now base it on the len type, but I had priced out a pair of
the Ti frames, with the 1.67 lens late last year (Dec 09') and the X-
strength price was $9 - not $22.(Then the whole set was $80.64 = frame
+ 1.67 + A/R + X-strength). And yes, I did notice there was no
additional cost for the 1.74 index, but the price difference was 39.99
for 1.67, 79.99 for 1.74. I am guessing that they increased the price
due the difficultly in getting high idex's done correctly, but it was
a major shock for me.

siageah - i went back and readded then frame/lens, it still came up to
74.90, so where you got your pricing, I'm not sure. I added the Ti
frame I wanted w/ the 1.74 index and the price went up to 99.90 (15.95
frame, 79.00 lens, 4.95 A/R). If I could wait or wouldn't have to
worry if they get the lens 100% correct (and that is always my biggest
issue - i don't know why nobody can't cut them right the first time),
I probably would have ordered them in the Ti frames. There might be
good reasoning, but it's still a shock when you priced it once at one
price, then wham - it's a good bit more now. It almost feels
deciptive.
