We've had discussions like this, and there are two resolutions. First, try
wearing only your new glasses for a few days. It could just be a matter of
adapting to your new prescription.
If, after a few days of wearing they still don't feel right, then talk to
your doctor. The prescription may be wrong, or just need a little
tweaking. Having bought them in a local store, they'll likely remake them
at no cost.
Your prescription is pretty strong, so getting it exactly right is going to
be important.
As to the ordering process, it's pretty straight forward. You enter numbers
into the online form, and they make the glasses you order. With most sites
you don't have to send in your prescription...this is actually one of the
things that the optical industry finds objectionable.
Bottom line, try the glasses for a few days. If they don't work for you,
double check with the doctor and the dispensary.
Messing with your prescription would probably work out just fine...but it
should be a last resort.
