No, they're not - they're a product of a company called Vision
Dynamics that has been a player in in-office lens casting for about
ten years or so, and that runs their own labs in Kentucky.  It's a
digital progressive, and is, by far, the cheapest one I've seen.

Essilor is the Not-Really-Varilux-Nudge-Wink progressive. Essilor
Ovation ~= Varilux Comfort, etc.
