Hello Mac.

Let's see what we can do.
OD: sphere -.25, cylinder -6.25, axis 093

WOW! You've got some bad astigmatism, there.

The thread to which you linked discussed positive and negative values for
the cylinder. The cylinder can be changed to positive, and rotated by 90
degrees to have the same effect.

But you have a sphere correction, too...albeit a minimal one. That means
that we have to do a little massaging.

Here is the example that OnlineIDoc gave. These two prescriptions are
equivalent. According to him, you add the sph and cyl (basic math), change
the sign on the cylinder, and change the axis by 90 degrees.

+3.25 -.50 X 100 and +2.75 +.50 x 10 are equivalent.
(+3.25) + (-0.50) = (+2.75), which is exactly what the first value is.
Change the sign of the cyl, so -0.50 turns into +0.50, and the axis of 100
becomes (100 - 90) = 10.

On yours, you would do the same thing.
OD: sphere -.25, cylinder -6.25, axis 093

(-0.25) + (-6.25) = (-6.50)
Change the sign on the cyl.
Change your axis by 90 degrees.
So your prescription would be -6.50 x +6.25 x 003

It's doubtful that this conversion would help with your dilemma, though,
since it's an even bigger correction.

Isn't math fun? There are a whole lot of ways to get to the same answers...
