My wife recently had a frame lensed with Transition VI lenses in high index(1.74). Although she says she can see fine, she says there's something "weird" in her vision. It's kind of hard to explain she tells me, so I'm not sure how to ask this question here. She has a very strong (-11.75 with astigmatism) prescription.
I wish I could say more, but I'm wondering if Transition or other photochromic lenses aren't suitable for high correction, high index lenses. One thing I have noticed is most online glasses vendors will not do that type of lens in an index beyond 1.6 or so. She got them from SimplyEyeglasses.com in Florida. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated as I'm curious about it. Thanks. RedStickHam -- Check us out at the oft-updated http://glassyeyes.blogspot.com!
