Globaleyeglasses.com sells trifocals. I got two pairs of single vision from them recently. Before I ordered, they told me production would take four days and shipping would take eight days. True to their word, I received the glasses -- which are made in India -- in twelve days.
They're both pretty much dead on my Rx (my first of three in three months), and one frame is much nicer than the photos indicate. I've seen some poor reviews on GE's customer service, but my limited experience has been pretty good so far. They have allowed me more time than their stated return policy in order for me to see a new doc, and to choose a new frame to replace one of the frames I bought which I didn't realize would be too small for me. My Rx has changed twice since ordering, so I'll pay a little more to get new lenses for my new Rx (50% of the upgrades plus shipping) and my local optician will install them in their plastic frame for $10. GE's phone system sucks, so the best way to contact them is via chat, which can be printed or saved for a perfect record of all correspondence. Recently, they've had a two for one for frame and basic lenses offer with the code "buy1get1." I don't know if it's still good, but it can't hurt to try to apply it. Upgrades, coatings and tints are cheap, though when I just tried it, it seems that options are limited for trifocals. So far, my only frustration with GE is that they don't have a lot of affordable wider frames with longer temples for big guys like me. They have a few wider designer frames, but they are more expensive. Without being able to measure for seg height, I think getting multifocals and progressives online is a crap shoot. GE offers two seg heights for their bifocals, so if you decide to order trifocals from them, you should chat with them to see if there are any options for different mounting points for trifocals. I'd be curious to find out how well they work for you too, so please post about it if you get them.
