It's not a complete waste, since if you repeat the order, you'll have
spare frames / spare parts, and one spare lens from each frame.

I wasted a few bucks at Goggles4U trying to get a lens that fit a pair
I got from somewhere else. What I did was order a frame with the same
lens dimensions listed as my frame. When the first pair arrived, they
were a little too big, but the lenses fit another frame that had an
obsolete prescription. So I tried again. This time, the lenses were
too small, but at least I like the frame. The pairs cost about $15
each, so I don't have too much of a complaint. It's just too bad that
re-lensing often costs noticeably more than buying a whole new pair.
But between two frames having the same numbers stamped on them but
being too different in actual size, and having the seller sometimes
misstate the size of a frame, it's very hard to get "do-it-yourself"
re-lensing to work.
