Maybe I should set up two separate versions. That way we can have the up-to-date, and too the hardened ones...
The heart of my question was what people prefer. Maybe going with both so we can experiment, then we can decide later. I forget at the moment why I went with the hardened-sources -- I think it had to do with some of the security issues. I'm sure that it will come back to me when I slow down a little. once I dig myself out of my current work load I plan to jump into the middle of Glendix at least as long as I can figure out if I want to base a bunch of my thesis work on it; even if I do not I should have a thing or two to contribute. BTW, at one point I was about 1/4 of the way through becoming an official gentoo developer. Is there anyone on the Glendix project which can mentor/evaluate my applications?
