I recently downloaded both glob2-0.8.15, and the latest version of
libpng, and I don't think I've broken either of them in the meanwhile;
It works for other people I've met, alittlewoodelfe in particular; he
has version 1.2.3 of SDL_Image, as opposed to my version 1.2.4, but
otherwise, all the libraries are the same versions. His binary produces
the same results as mine when I try to run it.
Other than that, and what I've said in previous messages, (and
hopefully I haven't been repeating myself, too) I basically don't know
anything...

That's strange. Are you sure that there is no corrupted png in the
distribution or that your png library is not broken ?
