so that's exactly what i'm doing now (ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE value=\"".htmlentities($v)."\";) should i place an alert somewhere? if my system works it will effectively avoid dublicate key insertions. htmlentities seams not to be the right function. How do i store both ' and " with mysql.
