No, each team uses its own gradients.  When you place a forbidden
field, it is an obstacle for your own globs but a free one for all
others.  Therefore we need to calculate/store every gradient for each
team.

Gates wouldn't be a speed problem.  Imagine them as kind of
reverse-forbidden-field.  Or as an accumulation of forbidden fields
of all other teams.  Your globs may pass, the others not.
So the number of gradients would not increase.

Maybe allies should be allowed to pass as well.
