I don't really know of such dns-fallback; However, we should ask appleboy and see what takes much bandwidth. You could make a mirror, or we can decentralise the host; for example put yog or/and irc on your server and let web site on appleboy (or vice-versa)
my idea was to doublicate some parts of his server. mainly the wiki and the forum are vital parts of glob2's success so i don't want to risk to loose them just because appleboys pc gets stolen or what so ever. the code itself resides already on a reliable platform and is backupd on many developers pcs. so i'd like to mirror the content and if we get it done implement some fallback-strategy so downtime gets minimized. i guess that would need less then 5GB? i have 10GB on my virtual server and would like to run my own homepage (<1GB) there, too. but if others are interested, we could upgrade to a bigger package as transfere/bandwidth/CPU/RAM are rather limited (100GB/?/?/?). greetings, leo wandersleb _______________________________________________ glob2-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/glob2-devel
