Not really, but those things should be handled by SDL and we never hadenough
motivation to workaround this in a generic way. It would be nice to see how
others SDL based games are handling this.

Shouldn't the unicode field contain '+' when unicode is enabled
(SDL_EnableUNICODE) and the corresponding combination is pressed
(depending on keyboard layout)?
