Indeed, its a bug in the Windows script. It only happens when people change the default installation from c:\program files\Globulation_2 to something else. I'd hate to see what happens if they installed c:\Program Files\ itself :P Goodbye all installed applications.
I'll fix it sometime. It involves writing something (a script) that goes through all files in the windows release, and makes it into a list to put inside a config file of some sort which will be read and then used for uninstall file. That way only files installed by the game and told to remove will be removed (the folder its installed in will have to remain, that simple). I just don't have the time to do it right now.
