Hey Leo, It all worked out in the end anyway. :P Wiki/Forum is back to normal, and just waiting on AppleBoy to finish is forum theme.
As for next time, if updates are kept regular, there shouldn't be a need for backing up and using tests (example, 1.11.1 to 1.11.2 shouldn't need a test server :P). Just so you know btw, I was working on a tight schedule. Starting today, I'll probably have to limit my time to a 1/5 of what I was doing. I didn't have time for testing. > Personally I don't think this was much of a damage to the project but it definitely was. A website being mucked up for a month is damaging. Even a week is damaging, but 24 hours? Thats all it took to get everything back to working order :P Considering how hacked it was (lots of database changes), 24 hours is quite good (if everything had worked, it probably would have only been 6 hours). I think you two are making a big deal out of something so small :P Regards Kieran On Tue, Feb 12, 2008 at 8:40 AM, Leo Wandersleb <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Hi Kieran, > > I guess what Kyle actually wanted to say was that this should never have > happened on the live system.
