The story suggests that the glacier ice covering Greenland is melting
and thus 52 cubic miles of fresh water a year is entering the
surrounding oceans. Could this be the source of another Great Salinity
Anomaly? With all the extra melting, will the next GSA be larger than
earlier ones? If so, one might expect to find major changes in the
THC, which may now be underway.
