I am always leary of such conclusions drawn from extremely weak
circumstantial evidence. (same for the opposite conclusions BTW). But I
did think it was generally well accepted that the start of agriculture was
the start of ciilization. The fellow in this article is talking about 3 to
5Kyr ago. That is a little late to claim as a starting point, no?
