The quote from the article which is highlighted, and the theme of the 
article is "The scientific base for a greenhouse warming is too uncertain 
to justify drastic action at this time."

If you believe that Singer and Revelle were wrong, then you must believe 
that drastic action was needed then, and that action even more drastic is 
needed now.  What precise actions do you propose?
