It looks like the writing is on the wall.
The past year has been interesting. The Virginia government directed
Pat Michaels to "scrupulously avoid the use of the title of state
climatologist in connection with any outside activities or private
consulting endeavors." Then ExxonMobil pulled funding for half a dozen
professional skeptics, including the Competitive Enterprise Institute.
And now, George W. Bush has endorsed action on global warming.
Could 2007 be the year where things suddenly turn around in U.S.
attitudes and policies on climate change?
