I ran across this curious statement: "AMY GOODMAN: In the United States, we have a situation where the Bush administration is vacuuming the words "global warming" off of websites."
Do you suppose she is referring to the "story" that I broke (more or less) on this newsgroup? The story about how whitehouse.gov search engine does find "global warming" hits as its help page says it should. The statement is from an interview with Flannery "Leading Australian Scientist Tim Flannery on Global Warming and the Worsening Dangers of Climate Change Denial" http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=07/10/25/1454240 Here it is again: <<AMY GOODMAN: How is this debate playing out? I mean, this whole discussion about an issue that for years now has been vacuumed off government websites, those two words together, "global warming.">> http://verbal.democracynow.org/2007/7/11/storm_world_hurricanes_politics_and_the Looks like the story, after a long period of latency, is slowing creeping out of the blogosphere. It made it to liberal radio, at least. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Goodman --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Global Change ("globalchange") newsgroup.
