Black liquor is a good solution for pulp plants. Other ways of
proceesing biomass are preferred in other settings. All the ones
I know about tend to have the same advantages of biomass already
collected.
As for how much, 10% co-fired with coal is easy to arrange. Much
larger proportions may require different reactors. In any case,
the economics now drive in the direction of greater use of wastes
for biofuels.
