Akruti shares jump 28% on rumours

TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Ahmedabad: Akruti City’s scrip soared 27.5% on Wednesday as punters feasted
on the shares of this Mumbai-based realty company, and rumours of stock
manipulation did the rounds.
The stock, which closed at Rs 2,012, has seen a massive 128% rise from Rs
880 on February 27 to its current level. At the current price, with a market
capitalisation of Rs 13,420 crore, Akruti has become the second most valued
real estate company after DLF. In the overall market cap league table, the
company is ranked 41st, from 90 at the end of February.
Sources said some punters are taking the advantage of low floating stock
of the company. There were also talks about two rival speculator groups with
opposite positions, trying to outsmart the other.
