  *Summit Partners* has invested $30 Mn in *Krishidhan Seeds Limited*.

Krishidhan intends to use the proceeds for redearch and development,
technology and product related acquisitions, international expansion and
company infrastructure.

KSL was founded in 1980 by Jainarayan Karwa as a seed trading company. It
develops, produces and distributes proprietary hybrid seeds and selections
that offer prosperity to Indian farmers.
  Transaction Note

The company has experienced significant sales growth of six times over the
last five years. KSL reported consolidated revenues of Rs. 279 Cr for the
year ended Sept 2009.

The company has a well-diversified portfolio of more than 120 products in
field crops, vegetable seeds and crop nutrition categories, combined with
its strong pan-India presence.

US Based Summit Partners has raised more than $11 Bn in capital and has
provided growth equity, recapitalization and management buyout financing to
more than 300 growing companies across a range of industries and
geographies. This is its first investment in India.

Summit is the latest addition to a list of PE firms, such as Apollo Capital,
Bain Capital and Quadrangle, that have made their first investments in India
over the past six months.

Earlier in Mar'10,India Agri Business Fund invested $10 Mn in Global Green
Company Pvt. Ltd. The Global Green Company cultivates, processes and markets
pearl onions, capers, peppers, sweet and sour cherries and sweet corn.
