*Phillips Carbon Black Ltd* will raise upto Rs 100 Cr through QIP. The company intends to open the issue on April 23,2010.
The RPG group company develops, manufactures and markets various grades of carbon black. PCBL has three manufacturing units located in Durgapur in West Bengal, Cochin in Kerala and Baroda in Gujarat. A fourth unit at Mundra, in Gujarat, has been commissioned in October 2009. Total production capacity of the company is 360,000 MT per year. Transaction Note The company posted a PAT of Rs 33.63 Cr on Revenues of Rs 347.36 Cr for the third quarter. PCBL also generates power using the fuel gases released as a by-product of manufacturing carbon black. The total power production capacity of PBCL is 60.5 Mw and it able to meet the internal power demand of the company. *RPG Group* headed by *RP Goenka* is involved in diverse sectors of business, including power generation, power transmission, information technology, retail, and entertainment. India Inc. raised Rs 31,102 Cr from 42 QIP issuances during calendar year 2009.
