*Cera Sanitaryware Ltd *has plans to acquire European sanitaryware brands.
The company will spend about $4mn-$6mn for brand acquisition

The company has about about Rs 100 crore ($22mn) for its expansion plans in
India and abroad.

The company is looking at two super-premium brands in the bathroom fittings
and sanitaryware sectors which are facing financial difficulties.

The company plans to spend $7-8 mn (Rs 35-40 crore) on capacity expansion
within a period of one and a half year.

Cera Sanitaryware is the third largest sanitary ware company in India.
As the part of its expansion plan, the company will spend Rs.35 crore on
capacity expansion from 21 lakh pieces to 27 lakh pieces per year. CSL will
also start production of faucets at Kadi plant near Ahmedabad.

Cera intends to open 2-3 new Bath Studios in India. It currently has Bath
Studios in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Kolkata, Cochin and Hyderabad
and Mumbai.

Cera plans to increase its exports to Europe and Africa. It is working on
launching water-saving products, geysers, LCD-fitted bathtubs and other
fittings.

Acquisition of the super-premium brands may be part of it expansion into
Europe where it will sell made-in-India products under these brands.

The sector has seen a lot of activity in the last few years. Hindware
recently bought Havells faucet business in Rajasthan. Murugappa Group sold
its stake in Parryware ROCA to Roca, the largest sanitaryware company in the
world in 2008.
