Marsons Ltd has announced the acquisition of an unknown European transformer
manufacturer for Rs.41 Cr (GBP 6.1 mn) subject to due diligence.

Recently, the company bagged order worth Rs.60 Cr from Rajasthan Rajya
Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd (RRVPNL) to supply 32 nos. 25 MVA 132/33 KV power
transformers.

Marsons has a design and manufacturing capacity ranging from 25 KVA to 100
MVA 220/132 KV class power and distribution transformers.

Transformers produced by the company are used in the sectors of defence,
railways, tea estates, cement mills, steel-rolling mills, state electricity
boards, and private enterprises.

Marsons Limited is an India-based company engaged in the manufacturing of
power and distribution transformers, furnace transformers, dry type
transformers and various types of special application transformers.

Its power transformers include generator transformers, unit auxiliary
transformers and station auxiliary transformers. Distribution transformers
include dry type transformers up to two Megavolt Ampere 33 kilovolt Class.
Furnace transformers include arc furnace transformers and ladle furnace
transformers. Instruments transformers include potential transformers.

Its clients include state electricity board and power utilities of
Rajasthan, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh and Maharastra. Corporate customers
include Tata Group of Companies, Relience Group and Bharti Airtel. Its
overseas customers include Castle Cement in United Kingdom and Teklec in
Dubai.

Marson reported net profit of Rs 3.04 Cr in Q4 2010 compared to net loss of
Rs 1.24 Cr in Q4 2009 and its net sales jumped 257.3% to Rs 31.16 Cr in Q4
2010 over Q4 2009.

For financial year 2009-10, the company reported net profit of Rs 2.49 Cr
compared to net loss of Rs 0.74 Cr for 2008-09 and Net sales rose 78.7% to
Rs 78.30 Cr in 2009-10 over 2008-09.
