*Ramky Enviro Engineers Limited* is acquiring two companies one each in Australia and Sweden for a total consideration of $60 Mn. These companies operate in the area of waste management. These acquisitions will add technological expertise to its business operations. Ramky Enviro Engineers is India’s leading Waste Management companies with business focus on Industrial, Municipal & Bio medical waste management. Ramky Enviro has 12 subsidiaries with projects across 28 locations across India, West Asia & Singapore. Transaction Note Recently, it signed an agreement with *GE Power & Water* to introduce the concept of mobile water treatment plants in the country. Ramky will utilise GE's ultra-filtration (UF) and membrane bio-reactor (MBR) technology to come up with waste-water treatment and recycling solutions for the industrial sector. In October'09, it acquired the cleantech business of *Sembcorp Environment Private Limited*.
