- Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Power said on Thursday it has started generation from the second unit of the Rosa Power Project in Uttar Pradesh. The unit has been synchronised to the UP State Grid on June 15, the company said in a release. The first 300 MW unit began operations last December. With the completion of Phase I of Rosa, the total operating capacity of Reliance Power is now more than 1,000 MW. The project is expected to be the largest private sector investment in Uttar Pradesh with an outlay of over Rs 6,000 crore and will add around 20 per cent to the existing generating capacity of the State, the company said.
