Market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has confirmed
a ban on Keynote Capital from issuing research recommendations on listed
companies in the Pyramid Saimira case till investigation ends. The board’s
interim order on April 23 had banned Keynote from trading on account of
allegedly valuating Pyramid shares exorbitantly.

Recently, the SEBI had also denied to revoke its interim directions against
PS Saminathan who was barred from trading in the Pyramid Saimira case on
account of forgery last year.

Saminathan, the then CEO of the company and one of Nirmal Kotecha’s
associates, had allegedly made misleading public announcements to create
interest in Pyramid Saimira’s scrip.
