In my organization (private/catholic health service aimed against
disabled children) we have recently an internal meeting about the CES
(Clinical Engineering Service) that have to be started-up.

Substantially this service have to track down all medical devices
(electromedical and not), register some informations about this
devices, and track down operation on that.

GLPI, as now, version 0.6, cover roughly an 80-85% of the needed
feature, and can be easily configured to cover, suboptimally, another
10%.
I'm really involved (from january) to add this 5% of feature missing,
and now i'm starting to post another flow of feature request on mantis
BTS. Pardonnez moi. ;)

Pratically i need:

+ to track some ``quality'' trademark (CE mark, ...) on devices; i've
to track not only the presence/absence of mark, but also some
parameters about that, so i'm thinking about something that mimic the
 ``internal peripheral'' page.

+ to track some specific information about medical devices, and here
i'm thinking about something like ``commercial info'', that can be
 enabled/disabled as needed.

+ i'm in doubt of creating another cathegory of devices (some medical
devices are not peripherals because they does not connect to
computers... ;), but for now this is not urgent: i don't know if you
are planning to extend GLPI do track also phones and general devices,
and i think that this can wait...

Have you some hint to me? This addings can be achieved as plugin or
have to be coded inside glpi?
If i implement that, there's some chance that will be added to main
glpi?

Some other feature i think are only general good ideas and i will
simply log to mantis.

Joyeux Noel!
