I see that ram type are only EDO, DDR, SDRAM, SDRAM-2.

I think that are missing at least:

+ ``Normal'' (non edo, non fpm, non ECC)
+ FPM
+ ECC/Registered (but this is an attribute, there's out there EDO ECC
 and non EDO ECC...)
+ DIMM
+ SODIMM
+ RAMBUS

Also, AFAIK DIMM and DDR are both SDRAM, so i've not really understood
the classification, i suppose.

I think that a better classification would be:

+ at the name field, the ``form factor'': SIMM 30pin, SIMM 72pin,
 DIMM, SODIMM, DDR, RAMBUS, ...
+ at the type, the ``subtype'': Normal, EDO, FPM, ECC, Registered,
 SDRAM, ...
(with the same note, ECC are an attribute of EDO and SDRAM at
 least...)
+ at the speed/freq the real ones (60ns, PC133, PC2700, ...)

I've not clear another thing. We keep the RAM as example.

If on a computer i add two RAM type, eg:

Desc: DIMM type: SDRAM freq: PC100
Desc: DIMM type: SDRAM freq: PC133

and on computer view i add some RAM, i can choose from two entries DIMM
that seems equal.
I have to ``overload'' the description as:

Desc: DIMM PC100 type: SDRAM freq: PC100
Desc: DIMM PC133 type: SDRAM freq: PC133

this are intended? I'm missing something?

Many thanks.
