I have been reviewing the GLPI software and would really like to implement GLPI in my organization. I have it working great with 2003 Active Directory. My problem is with the email notifications. I want to use Linux (CentOS) with an XAMPP install. I have also tried using the standard MySQL and PHP installs. I have also tried using a Windows 2000 Server system with IIS. All worked fine except the email notifications.
Someone please give me an example of a working configuration including any PHP, sendmail or other settings that are required. The php.ini file contains the correct path the the sendmail program. I don't think sendmail is ever receiving the message from glpi. It won't even send to a local user of the linux system. I don't understand why it is asking for POP or IMAP configuration info either. I would expect it to ask for a SMTP server and perhaps account info. I looked at the php.net reference on the setup screen, but it did not help me. We have a corporate email server in-house that I would like to forward the messages through. Any help is appreciated. I have run out of ideas.
