Hi,

GLPI includes a distribution of phpCAS in its sources, which includes
file lib/phpcas/domxml-php4-php5.php. This file is licensed under
Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 France "BY-SA (FR)",
which is *not* free according to the Debian Free Software Guidelines.

See
http://evan.prodromou.name/ccsummary/ccsummary.html
for details.

This would prevent distributing GLPI as free software (since it can, in
some cases, prevent derivative works from being distributed).

Possible solutions, in order of preference, are:
- remove the offending file, if this does not cause problems
- replace this file by a correct one
- remove phpCAS
- remove GLPI ;)

As I am not sure how exactly it would affect GLPI, I'm asking for
advice: can I safely remove phpCAS from GLPI archive distributed in
Debian ?
If you see any better solution, please also tell me.

Cheers,
Pierre

Hi,

As pointed out by Olivier Berger the domxml-php4-php5.php file is not
DFSG-free. I'm thereby upgrading the severity of the reports.

Cheers,
