I would like to use GLPI to track batteries in my small UPS systems. I don't see a way to do what I want to do, but I thought I would check the list for ideas.
First, I'd like to create a "Consumable", the battery, and set a notification for this consumable, say 2 years. Then I'd like to attach the consumable to a device, the UPS. This is partly the way printer cartridges work currently, but I don't really need to "issue" batteries to people, or even track the number in stock like is done with printer cartridges.
