Dear all,

we are trying to see if some of the GLPI modules would fit for our usage,
we are an VFX studio and we need to have some sort of connection between an
user profile and the software that he uses.

1:
An example would be that:

when our HR department needs to hire a new person thei would need to login in
the GLPI,
go to the Human resources and there select from a drop-down a new person hiring
simulation (or resource query)
for example if they select "Office user" then the GLPI should be able to tell
that:
- we do have a spare computer tagged for office use
- there are mouse and keyboard and monitor and etc
- there is a license of Microsoft Office available

that would be very useful for us to be able to define some templates of users
that would need at least the assigned things to work.

2:
We are using OCS inventory to inventory the computers,
along with that a lot of info comes in GLPI.

Would it be possible to have a way of when the synchronization is done and the
user is different to be some sort of license validations?

EG

- We push a standard image on the computer,
- the user logs in and start working

Some of the licenses are floating some are nodelock

There should be something as a ticket or other screen where an IT could
validate easily the licenses used for that computer .

Are there any good licenses usage practices?

Other than that thank you for a great program so far.

Thank you !
