With some little trouble (eg, some vendor put a S/N on the label outside, and a different S/N on the firmware inside ;), work as you expected. Eg, after added a monitor to GLPI (manually or via FI), and after assigning it a ''name'' (barcode, ...), with FI the monitor ''follow'' the pc, using the S/N (the ''internal, firmware one of course ;) as a key. Consider also subscribing to the FI list. -- dott.
