Hi,

I've just installed the glpi package (version 0.84.8) in a new (installed for
the purpose) Debian Jessie computer (64 bits, only official packages, and only
the bare minimum to get glpi running).

With the glpi user I can add computers to the inventory without any problem,
but if I try to add components to those newly added computers, I just get the
error:

"You don't have permission to perform this action."

This happens for any component I try to add (Case, Controller, Network
Card,...). I use the same user (glpi) both for adding a computer and trying to
add the component. Adding a computer always works, but I never can add any
component to it.

I've tried too using a different user (tech) and a newly created one (with
Super-Admin privileges) to add the computer and the component, with the same
result.

To add the component, I go to the computer list page and select the computer.
Then, once in the specific computer page, I choose the new component in the
"Add a new component" dropdown menu (say "Network Card"). Then appears a
second dropdown menu below the first one, but with no options (maybe the
components should have been added previously in some other page, and now
should appear in this menu? If so, I have not been able to find this "Add
components" page) and I click on the "Add" button. Then appears a new page
with the top menus and just the "You don't have permission to perform this
action." message.

I looked up this error in google, but I could not find any relevant result for
this message in connection with glpi, and the "Help" button in glpi takes me
to a help page that it is mostly in french (even if the link says that is the
help in english). I've found too an online english manual and it doesn't even
mentions the possibility of this problem happening when adding components.

Could someone point to me what am I doing wrong, or where I could look for
information on this error?

Thanks!

Josep Guerrero
