Earlier in the year someone asked what it costs to operate a Coupe. Out of curiosity, I began collecting all the stats. Here is a summary of my year 2002: Hours flown 65.3 - Should be a LOT more :( Oil used 15 Qts Oil burn 4.5 hours per Qt - This is a little misleading as I had 2 oil changes at 4 quarts each and am due for my 3rd now. Fuel used 352.3 Gal Fuel burn 5.4 hours per Gal. Running a C-85 with mostly Auto and 100LL Expenses Fuel $740 Hanger $2040 - $170 per month - Pretty poor hanger in Chicago suburbs Insurance $869 Annual $450 Oil Changes $30 - filters ELT Battery $36 Total $4176 Total per hour $63.96 - I should have flown more to offset the fixed costs....
