Well, for those of you following our efforts to get our second coupe
home, here it is. After our ferry pilot got weathered out in
Washington, MO. (35 miles w/o St. Louis) It sat there on the crummy
weekends when we couldn't fly it out. And worse, it sat there on the
sunny days that we had to work.

Finally, this weekend the weather-liars gave us the forecast of Saturday
being MVFR with bad freezing levels along the route, But Sunday was
supposed to be clear and any clouds at high altitudes.

So... we elected to drive down Saturday. And wouldn't you know it, the
whole route was CAVU forever. So instead of flying down in this good
weather, we are scooting along on the ground.

Then, Sunday arrives, we go out to the airport. It's a bit hazy, but a
high ceiling. so far so good. Well, a call to the weather liars
indicates IFR along the route with low ceilings. Told that just STL was
reporting high ceilings. Nice 20-25 knot tailwind tho.

So we discuss it, and decide to at least get it over to the other side
of St. Louis airspace and save a few miles for the next trip.

SO Jenn Departs... and I'm the balloon chaser. She gets to the first
airport...and heads to the second... and the third.... and so on. She
had a 1800-2000 foot ceiling the entire 400 mile route and about 7 mile
visibility... so off she went. And our luck held out and she made it
home allright.

Me... I crawled along on the ground and made it home eventually.

She did note that there was a discrepancy between the Garmin 195 she
carried and the Flybuddy gps mounted in the plane. It was an 8-15
degree diffence. It has an old data card in the Fly buddy, so I'll
cross check them later.

The plane fired up well, she said it flies better than mine ( less slop
in the controls ( to be remedied at annual)) And she likes a yoke PTT
button.

the weather this weekend is supposed to be Michigan Scud, so I don't
know when I'll get a chance to try it.

But at least we have it home in our hangar.

Special thanks to Jan Z, Rich Todd, Rusty, and Artie Langston for all
their help.
